Emmanuel Domoya is experienced in project management and OD.
He has worked with a number of organizations since 1992.
He has all this time worked with civil society organizations
(CSOs) at senior management level. Through working with
these organizations, he has been exposed and contributed
to several sectors such as Community Development; Human
Rights; HIV & AIDS; Environment; Education; Local
Government Decentralisation; Organisation Development
(OD); Gender; Lobbying and Advocacy in general.
Emmanuel
graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor Of Theology (Th.B)
from the Canadian Nazarene University in Swaziland and
joined the Evangelical Relief and Development (EVARD)
Malawi in 1993 as Projects Coordinator where he managed
development and relief projects. In 1996 he joined the
Projects Office, a development arm of the Presbyterian
Church’s Blantyre Synod as Projects Coordinator before
rising through the ranks of Program Manager and Development
Manager, the second most senior position in the same
organization. While there he implemented projects in
adult literacy; human rights; child survival and agriculture.
He
later joined the Training Support Program (TSP), a capacity
building institution in which he was an OD Practitioner
responsible for facilitation of interventions in the
departments of agriculture and forestry in Central and
Northern Malawi. Interventions included change management;
Training needs assessments and design of training programs
and team building. In 2002 he joined Save the Children
(UK) as Program Manager. As Program manager, he was
responsible for day-to-day operations of Save the Children’s
activities in Mchinji district in Central Malawi. This
involved project planning and implementation, human
resources management, financial management, liaison
with donors and other stakeholders at district level.
During this time Emmanuel was also involved in the establishment
of a local NGO Target National Relief and Development
(TANARD) which he has supported in terms of OD processes
and fundraising. Today TANARD is implementing HIV and
Child support projects in Mchinji district.
Emmanuel
has worked as a visiting consultant to MCF since 2002
and recently became a full time member.
He
has interacted with a wide range of donors and key stakeholders
both at national and international level. He has also
attended a number professional training courses and
has made major representations across the African continent.
Courses attended include NGO management; Holistic Development;
Conflict moderation in rural areas and Leadership Learning
Program.
